Redesigned Dashboard and New Holding Pages with More Functionality and Insights

Published on 13.12.2021

With the latest Parqet update, we've revamped the dashboard and holding pages. The holding detail pages are now available to all Parqet users. In addition to a redesigned look with more features, this update also lays the groundwork for new asset classes such as cash.

Parqet Dashboard in a New Light

The portfolio dashboard is Parqet's most used view. That's why it's so important that information is presented clearly and in an easy-to-understand way. Since the previous dashboard had been expanded with several features and displays over the last 2 years, we've redesigned the dashboard from the ground up.

The individual sections and charts are now much more clearly separated and therefore easier to distinguish. On wider screens, the available space is now better utilized – two charts are displayed side by side. There are also numerous smaller improvements, such as the color adjustment of the activity type tags to match the rest of the app, or the linking of the dividend page from the dividend chart.

The securities table, which lists your holdings, now takes up the full width in the new dashboard. This makes it much more readable, especially if you have many columns visible or are working on a small screen. As additional visual information, the allocation is also displayed there in the form of a small donut chart.

As a new insight, the dashboard also features your portfolio's top movers. This shows you which of your securities have experienced the greatest change in the selected time period.

Move Securities Between Your Portfolios

With the dashboard redesign, we're also implementing a highly requested community feature: You can now move individual holdings between different portfolios. To do this, simply click on the three dots in the last column of the security you want to move in the securities table. Via the "Move" menu item, you can then select which of your portfolios you want to move this holding to.

Holding and Security Pages Are Combined and Open to All Users

In addition to the dashboard, we've also addressed the holding and security pages. Previously, there were two different pages for holdings (securities you own, accessible via the securities table, for example) and general securities (accessible via search or the markets page). These were completely separate, which created unnecessary complexity.

In the latest update, this distinction is eliminated – the holding and security pages have been merged and redesigned. Depending on whether a security is in your possession or not, the information is displayed differently. If a security is in your portfolio, you'll see, for example, the value development or your activities for that security.

The new pages are also no longer limited to subscription users – they are now available in the free Parqet version as well. We will expand the security pages with additional data (such as master data) in the future.

Ready for New Asset Classes

The new pages have already been extensively tested by our Beta Circle – thank you for that! In addition to the obvious and mentioned improvements, this update also prepares Parqet for the next asset classes, including cash and crypto. Cash is already in the Beta Circle and is currently being tested. The release for all users is therefore imminent.

How do you like the redesign? What information would you like to see in the dashboard? We look forward to your feedback, which is best shared in the community.
